I can do that better.
It all started when I saw a ski pole wind chime at a friend’s house. I loved the simplicity of the design -- the shafts of two ski poles cut down to form the chimes, it all held together with twine and a simple hook, hanging from the roof on a quaint porch.
I thought to myself, “I can do that better…” I scoured the internet for other ski pole wind chimes, and although I found some other offerings, none of them felt just right. Some too sterile looking, some too kitschy. I set to work acquire all the necessary tools and parts. I called every single ski shop in the Denver area, and nearly every ski resort in Colorado looking for junk ski poles. They were all bound for the trash, so why not make something meaningful out of them? A hand-me-down drill in hand, I set to work in a shared garage in my condo complex crafting the perfect chimes.
